Measurement & energy transformers for circuit breakers (ACB, MCCB)
EGSTON is a global market leader in the design and production of complex measuring modules for a wide variety of low, medium, and high voltage circuit breakers.
Modern devices use separate power supply systems for electronic tripping units and to detect load and short-circuit currents. High-precision Rogowski coils, which are resistant to external fields, are used for the latter due to their linearity and large range of measurement, while for electronic applications we use energy transformers based on SiFe cores manufactured by us. EGSTON installs both coils in complex systems consisting of plastic parts, casting compounds, joining technology, and other components.

By using of state-of-the-art production technologies in the combined wrapping and overmolding of coil bobbins, EGSTON is able to develop and produce these components in line with the customer’s requirements and specifications. They serve as an interface between mechanical and electronic components and are used as immobilizers that transmit signals from modern ignition keys to the vehicles, as sensors that detect individual tire pressure levels, and as antenna coils that detect external vehicle guidance signals.
